Dear Praying Brethren,

The world would have us to believe that this is "love" month (Valentine's Day), but in truth every month is another demonstration of the Love of God. We certainly celebrate the fact that "God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom 5.8) There has never been a greater demonstration of love than that; indeed there never shall be.

Later in the month we will be glad to welcome Ron and Heidi Caasi home from Asia. They will be home for six months, and have a very full schedule already. If you wish to contact them, or to know their schedule, please contact the office. We hope to see the family at the office in April, Lord willing. Please continue to pray for co-laborers for them; nothing else that we could do would encourage them as fellow-workers would.

We also have the privilege this month of welcoming Rosalyn Faith (born January 19), the daughter of Jared and Rebekah Stevenson. They have a son (Bryce) as well, and are very much hoping to get out to France in 2008. Pray that they can; with the continuing decline of the dollar against the 'Euro', their support level has been raised, which will make it more difficult. The Lord is able, no matter WHAT the currencies do!

Despite some minor knee surgery this past month, I was able to visit several missionary families in the southern United States. I would ask you to particularly pray for the health of Ted Ball, the Director of our North American Ministries. I saw Ted with his wife Sandy in North Carolina, and also Michael and Valerie Gay who are presently on medical leave (Valerie has had a particularly stubborn case of Lyme disease, and is not doing well). Both the Ball and Gay families need our prayers. I also saw Peter and Charo Torres at a church, and their children (David & Damaris) at their school in Alabama. All are doing well, and very busy.

I also saw, very briefly, Dave and Jane Claar, and Casey Caputo (daughter of John and Kim) while I was in Tennessee. That was a whirlwind trip, although I was there longer than I anticipated due to an ice storm! Pray for your missionaries as we travel; I had thought to 'dodge' winter by traveling in the South, and I did not. I am so thankful for your prayers and giving, as well as the fact that the LORD is in charge.

Prayerfully,

Bruce P. Busch
General Director
