Dear Prayer Partners,
It has been said that 'April showers bring May flowers.' If that is true, the very few days of April that we have seen should bring forth an abundant crop. We expect to see an abundance of missionaries this April, anyway.
Ron and Heidi Caasi were mentioned last month. Lord willing, we should have some extended time with them this month, as they will be in town not only for a Mission's conference, but also for some time debriefing at the Office. As I have mentioned many, many times, my heart's cry for them is additional workers. Their situation is not easy, and another couple to work closely with them would be a tremendous help and encouragement. Let us pray to that end.
Lord willing, we will also be able to spend some time with Peter and Charo Torres, Appointees to Spain. Their prefield ministry has been complicated a bit by familial illness (Charo's mother has cancer), but they continue on faithfully. Some may say that the American economy is not favorable, but such conditions do not affect the LORD'S economy at all!
At the end of April, we also expect to see Nathan and Karen Frizzell (and their children). They are just getting started as Appointees for South Attica, and hoping soon to be full¬time in this ministry. As with any 'Faith' Mission, GFF does not (and cannot) guarantee any salary to Appointees, so sometimes it is difficult to get started full-time. Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, courage, and faith are required in abundance in such a ministry, and we covet your prayers for such a ministry. As with the Torres family (above), the Frizzell's need contacts & meetings. If you are interested, please contact the Office.
On follow-up, GFF Home Office did end fiscal 2007 'in the black,' and we anticipate being able to serve our missionaries and public better as a result. We wish that we could offer services free, but that is not possible. We appreciate your prayers for the Office, for Mrs. (Mary) Gettle, our Office Manager, and for all that we do (sometimes I travel extensively). We rejoice in all that the Lord and YOU enable us to do.
