Dear Brethren,
I am happy to be able to write that Rodney and Lynn Myers (and their four children) have arrived safely home from Tanzania. At present they are trying to take a few days of vacation at an undisclosed guest house in the South. If you really, REALLY need to contact them, please contact the Office (although they do not have a direct phone line at this time, and may not have internet access for the moment either). We are very much looking forward to seeing them, as I am sure that many of you are as well.
In April, I had the privilege of visiting some of our missionary families here in the United States. Recently, Aaron and Nicole Shipe (and their six children) visited us here at the Office, and we had a great time. I did not even mind when the children were mistaken for my (our) grandchildren (they are wonderfully well-behaved children)! The Shipe family is doing very well on prefield ministry, and trusting the Lord to be in Tanzania as soon as the Lord allows. Their goal is the end of 2010.
I just returned from Vermont, where I was able to see Nathan and Karen Frizzell and their ‘four.’ They are putting their house up for sale, and leaving for full-time prefield ministry (in a travel trailer) at the end of August. Praise the Lord! It will not be an easy time, certainly; but it will be a Blessed time as they see the Lord powerfully at work. Many families would not be willing to make their home in a thirty-one foot trailer, pulled behind a Chevrolet Suburban; the family is going to be in need of much prayer.
What is coming up? For Bruce, travel to the Far East in July (see me for details). Part of March and much of April was taken up in travel, and there is more to come in June – trips to Ohio and Illinois, in addition to some more local preaching. Locally, the ministry of John and Kim Caputo at Millersville State University (near Lancaster, Pa.) is winding down a bit for the summer; it was a VERY fruitful year for them. Lord willing, we expect Peter and Rosa Pinyol in the United States in June (for four months), and we want to pray for them, as well as the entire Spanish field.
It seems unlikely that we will ever ‘run out of things’ to pray for, until we meet the Lord in Glory. If you ARE short of prayer items, contact us! We would be delighted to help.
For the Missionaries,
Bruce P. Busch
General Director
