Dear Praying Brethren,
Recently the news has been dominated by disasters - or so it seems. There is the ongoing problem with the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, economic issues, etc. We at The Gospel Furthering Fellowship are not economists, oil geologists, financial 'wizards' or anything like that; we ARE simply a missionary organization that is very much dependant upon God for existence and maintenance. If HE were to fail, go broke, or have some other unplanned circumstance, we would be in a lot of trouble! Thankfully, that will never, NEVER happen.
Having said that we do not possess wizardry in financial matters, we are thankful that our new ACH (Automated Clearing House) program has been successful. If it would be a convenience for your missionary giving, please contact the Office to find out how to use it. We continue to consider every reasonable avenue that we can in order to make YOUR work lighter, our costs lower, and the load for our missionaries less.
Those of you who receive my personal letter will know that Ruth and I do not intend to travel outside of the U.S.A. this summer. There are many reasons for that. The primary reason is missionary convenience; with travel costing as it does, we try to combine as many trips as possible. If possible, we try to see several missionaries or do several things in one trip. We want to be good stewards.
It is going to be an eventful summer for several of our people, however. Lord willing, some wish to finish up their prefield ministry (Shipe and Torres families) as we head into fall; others have personal matters (for instance a wedding for the Caputo family, and a birth for the Stevenson family). Some are going to have changes of various kinds in their ministries (all to God's Glory we believe). Change is a constant, yet EVERYTHING that we do has to glorify our Blessed Lord (1 Cor 10.31).
Disasters? Not if the Lord is in it! Almighty God is sovereign, however jumbled it may seem in the affairs of men. We rejoice in that and in your care for us.
Sincerely in Christ,
Bruce P. Busch
