My Dear Brethren,
As I write this, I am trying to finish my preparations to go to Asia. There is a lot to be done, as I will be out of the office for several weeks. One could wish to be able to be more than one place at one time, but that is a privilege reserved for the Lord of Glory. It would be useful at times, however!
This past month I had the privilege to be with Charlie and Bo Frink (and their youngest daughter, Abigail) for a day. I had a whirlwind tour of eastern Ohio, and a good opportunity to talk. They are interested in returning to New Zealand as fast as they are able, and we certainly want to encourage that. Pray for them as they have significant support needs to be addressed before they go (present plans are to return in November).
Also in need of prayer are Nathan and Karen Frizzell. They are in the process of selling their home (in this economy!) and transitioning to full-time prefield ministry in August. With four children (three in home schooling), a thirty-one foot travel home is going to be a challenge for all! Prefield ministry is NOT easy, and prayer is the chief ingredient in a successful recipe.
We are happy to report that the Pinyol family (Peter, Rosa, and their three children) are in the States for the summer. If you live in the South, you may be able to see them. They are not planning to visit the Office this trip; they will however be getting together with Peter and Charo Torres later this month in Alabama. Lord willing, after I return from Asia, I hope to see the Pinyol family myself. Although we do not usually mention honors, the Pinyol's second son (Jeremy) has won a prestigious scholarship to attend 'Space Camp' in Huntsville, AL, while they are here. Pray for the family, as they have some choices to make.
Some say that these are dark days in the United States. I disagree; the future is as bright as the Promises of God! We are NOT dependant upon the economy or the political situation anywhere. Our past, our present, and our (Glorious) future are hidden with Christ in God! Thank you for your prayers and generosity to this ministry.
For the ministry,
Bruce P. Busch
