Dear Praying Brethren,
We have had a busy summer here at GFF, with several of our missionaries ‘home’ from their fields. Among them are Moises and Rosa Campos (with their daughters Irene & Elisabeth), and Peter and Rosa Pinyol (with their children Daniel, Jeremiah, and Anna). Both families are returning to Spain this month; we will miss them.
I have mentioned several times, but I must again; the dollar continues to reach new ‘lows’ compared to the ‘Euro’. Remember our European missionaries in prayer, please. While Peter Pinyol was here, the preaching at the Castellbisbal (Spain) church was done by Kevin Kenney, in addition to his work in Moia (starting another church). The Kenney family has been BUSY this summer. Kevin has also been involved in some translation work as well.
Just before he returned to Bible College, I was pleased to see Dan Brown, who spent two months in Tanzania with Rodney and Lynn Myers. Dan is open to the Lord’s will, and we are trusting that perhaps the Lord will call him to Tanzania. We have not seen much of Julie Miller (recovering from knee replacements in July) but she is doing reasonably well, Praise the Lord. She has some distance to go, however, and she would appreciate your prayers. As with all of us, she would like to recover yesterday!
It is good to report that I am at last able to get out of the office more. Ruth (Busch) has made some progress with her health, although we have as yet no idea what may happen. She has encouraged me to travel, so I am taking some smaller trips. Travel is part of this ministry, but of course Ruth is also EXTREMELY important (any wife is)! A delicate balance has to be maintained here, and your prayers for wisdom are needed and much appreciated. Doing what the Lord desires is the important thing in every case.
On a final note, Dave Claar has been in the office recently, and is reporting some progress towards South Africa. Dave and Jane spent some years there, and desire to return. The family needs more support to do that, as it is more expensive to live there than in the United States. We would appreciate your prayers for this family; returning to Africa after ten years here is not the easiest thing. As always, The LORD is able!
For the Missionaries,
Bruce P. Busch
