The Aaron Shipe Family
Aaron & Nicole Shipe have an unusual story. Their families attended the same local church (still do), and the young couple knew each other as children. After graduation from the same Bible college, they married, with the intention of heading to the mission field someday. After eight years in the pastorate, Aaron & Nicole came to GFF with a burning desire to do church-planting among the Datooga tribe in central Tanzania.
We are happy to report that Aaron and Nicole, along with their six children, have recently finished pre-field ministry, and have now left for Tanzania. They will be joining GFF missionaries Rodney and Lynn Myers and their family, working among the Datooga people. Their first job, however, is going to be the study of the national language of Tanzania (Swahili) and learning to live in the vastly different culture and environment of East Africa. Much of their first term will be spent in doing just this.
