What Do You Mean?
December 2022
There is a time when we must all struggle with the ultimate meaning of life. We who are believers in Jesus Christ have the Word of God to define and delineate that for us. Although most of Christendom would agree that glorifying God through the Name of Jesus Christ is the preeminent way through which this is accomplished. Revelation 14:7 & 8 tells us that the everlasting gospel is for “every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people” to “Fear God, and give glory to him.” However, how that is realized in a mobilization effort of each individual local church looks different as we peer closer to all that which is called “Christian.” We who are those who have counted our life as dung that we may win Christ have a supernatural desire and determination to abandon ourselves for Christ’ sake, but also for His Gospel’s sake. (Phil.3:8; Mark 8:34-35)
Sharing the Good news that Jesus Christ is come into the Word to save sinners is the heart and health of the reason of the holiday season (1 Tim.1:15)! If we wish to understand the meaning of life and undertake the mobilization of spreading the Gospel which brings meaning to our lives, then missions must undoubtedly be at the center of that effort! There are those who are living lives that are lost and languishing who need to receive the gift of eternal life. They are nations, kindreds, tongues, and peoples who live in remote and reckless regions where few faithful followers of Christ are willing to venture. Yet, Christ died for the ungodly. Christ died to bring them life. To what extent are we willing to carry this saving Gospel to those who are yet in their sins?
Thank you for your involvement in sharing the Good New of Jesus Christ that others may come to fear God and give glory to him through local ministry as well as long distance missions. God bless you and we wish you a Merry Christmas!
